Bhubaneswar, Mar 3: East Zone with eight points from four matches finished runners-up in the BCCI Inter-Zone Senior Women’s cricket championship which ended Tuesday. Central Zone emerged champions with 10 points.
In their last game, East Zone held South Zone to a draw in their two-day match at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. Replying to the first innings score of 304/7 by East Zone, Sourth Zone were all out for 141 at stumps of day two. On the basis of their first innings lead East got three points, which helped them finish second.
