Cuttack, July 14: Top players Subrat Das, Jeet Kishore Das and Siddharth Sen posted emphatic victories in the second round of the VIth Pradeep Sen Memorial Snooker Championships at the Cuttack Club here Tuesday.
Subrat trounced Chetan Jain 3-1, while cousins Jeet and Siddharth drubbed Godwin Kullu and Noman Salat respectively 3-0.
In the other second round encounters, Amiya Nayak, Ashwini Patnaik and Aakash Mohapatra beat Rohit Sharma, Suvendu Patnaik and Prateek Surekha by identical margins of 3-0.
Taekwondo selections
The IInd State Cadet Taekwondo Championships and IInd State Poomsae Championships concluded at Tuesday at Keonjhar. Among the 173 participants from across the state, 10 boys and nine girls were selected for the National Taekwondo Championships to be played at Hyderabad July 31-August 2. Keonjhar Sadar MLA Abhiram Naik was present on the concluding day and distributed the medals to the winners.
