Bhubaneswar: A joint team of Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Commissionerate Police Thursday removed illegal encroachments and constructions undertaken by land owners at Sector-III in Niladri Vihar area here.
The joint team reached the spot early morning and cleared the encroachments including the one on the road which was part of the Chandrasekharpur Housing Scheme, Phase-II. During the eviction drive eight tin shed houses, three concrete asbestos houses, and two tin shed garages and a boundary wall of 180 feet were bulldozed.
BMC sources said, “About 1,000 sq ft government road and government land of 5,500 sq ft was made encroachment-free. Two excavators were engaged in the eviction drive.”
