Bhubaneswar: Four persons were arrested Monday after a group clash broke out near the Dianox bar here, Sunday night, over past enmity.
The arrested were identified as Duryodhan Barik, 25, Atanu Sabyasachi Biswal, 25, G Litu Pradhan, 27, and Gurudev Mishra, 30, who belongs to another group.
According to sources, while Gurudev was near the bar with his group, Duryodhan and others arrived at the spot.
Soon, both parties engaged in a heated exchange over some past enmity, which later turned into a violent clash.
Both gangs attacked each other with sharp weapons, resulting in injuries to at least two persons, including Gurudev, who sustained head injuries.
Later, both parties filed complaints at the Saheed Nagar police station.
Based on the complaints, the police arrested three persons from one group and one person from the other group.
Prima facie, it appears that the arrested persons were previously involved in anti-social activities.
The weapons used in the crime were seized, and the accused were booked under Sections 126(2)/118(2)/109(1)/3(5) of BNS. Later, the accused were forwarded to the court.
