Berhampur: Police have arrested four more suspects in the shooting and robbery of jeweller S Balakrishna Achari alias Runa in Shastri Nagar, bringing the total number of arrests to eight.
The newly arrested suspects are Mustakim Khan, 24; Jalaluddin Khan, 28; Sheikh Arfan, 26; and Akhil Ran Mohanty, 39.
Police said they had fled the state after the crime but were captured in raids outside Odisha.
A Mauser pistol used in the attack, four live rounds, a car and three mobile phones were seized.

Earlier, police had arrested four others, including alleged mastermind Arun Kumar Upadhyay alias Malay, 50, of Vetnai Pandrasahi near Aska, along with Saroj Kumar Mohanty, 59, Sheikh Raju, 23, and Sahil Khan, 21, of Jadupur in Bhubaneswar.
Achari, a diamond trader, was targeted after learning of a 9.96-carat diamond owned by Visakhapatnam businessman Prem Kumar.
Police said Malay and his associates plotted to rob the diamond by luring Kumar and Achari into a fake deal.
