Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government Saturday said that four persons from the state remain missing following the devastating floods in Nepal, while two others have safely reached India.
The missing persons have been identified as Sandeep Mohapatra and his wife Sidharthi Kumari Sahu of Khurda district, and Gunnam Sai Bindu Kumari and her daughter Gunnam Hareskha of Bargarh district.
Mohapatra and Sahu have been staying in Australia since 2018, officials said.
Gunnam Jay Krishna, husband of Sai Bindu Kumari, is safe in Nepal, and his location has been shared with the Ministry of External Affairs to facilitate contact with him, they said.
According to his family, Jay Krishna has been working with Andtriz Hydropower in Upper Trishuli, Nepal, for the past six years.
Meanwhile, Kulsum Nigar of Baripada in Mayurbhanj district and Deepika Ekka of Sundargarh district have safely reached Raxaul and entered India, officials said.
Halim, a coach, and six Odisha football players are also safe in Pokhara, where the state team secured first position in a football tournament, they said.
