Bhubaneswar: The state government Thursday issued Gazette Notification for Heritage Cabinet aimed at preserving history and culture of our State and also in a bid to enrich our Odia language.
As per the Gazette Notification issued by the Parliamentary Affairs Department, the Heritage Cabinet comprises eight members headed by the Chief Minister.
Besides him, the other seven members are Finance Minister, Odia Language, Literature & Culture, Tourism Minister, Handlooms,Textiles and Handicrafts Minister and: ST& SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department Minister, Higher Education Minister, School and Mass Education Ministerand Electronics & Information Technology Minister
The Chief Secretary of Odisha will officiate as Secretary of the Heritage Cabinet. While the Principal Secretary of Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department is its Convenor, Secretaries of all the departments concerned will be special invitees.
