Bhadrak: A girl died while her sister was left critical after the two attempted to commit suicide over an alleged family feud at Khirasahi village under Chandigaon panchayat in Bhadrak district Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as, Roopa Sahu, while her elder sister is undergoing treatment at Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH).
According to sources, the two sisters entered into a quarrel over some petty issue this afternoon when their parents were out of the village.
However, the verbal fight took an ugly turn after the younger one Roopa, hanged herself and the elder sister consumed poison.
Even though the family members rescued the duo and rushed them to a local hospital, doctors declared Roopa as ‘brought dead’ and shifted the elder one to SCBMCH.
