Berhampur: A complaint was lodged at Berhampur cyber police station in Ganjam district Saturday against a person who allegedly posted the intimate photos of a girl and her beau on Facebook.
“We have accepted the complaint and reported the social media site to block the account of the victim who is seen in the obscene photos,” said IIC Akhaya Kumar Nayak.
According to reports, since December first week, an unknown person hacked the girl’s profile and started misusing it by uploading her intimate photographs with her boyfriend.
By morphing the photos, the unidentified accused has also erased the image of the girl’s lover.
While the suspicious activity on the social media platform was continuing for the past few days, the victim came to know about it Thursday following which she revealed the matter to her family members. Later, the family members lodged a written complaint with cyber police.
