Bhubaneswar: The state government Monday effected a major reshuffle among IAS officers by shifting over a dozen of babus.
According to sources at CMO, 2001 batch IAS officer Shalini Pandit has been appointed the special project director of Orissa Primary Education Programme authority (OPEPA). She will also hold additional charge of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shikshya Abhiyan (RMSA) and Adarsh Vidyalaya Organisation.
Mrinalini Darswal has been posted as additional resident commissioner, New Delhi while 2002 batch IAS officer Archana Patnaik is the new managing director National Health Mission (NHM). Patnaik, who is on inter-cadre deputation from Tamil Nadu, was also given additional charge of MD, Orissa State Medical Corporation (OSMC), the source added.
Similarly, Purusottam Sahoo, Hari Ballav Mishra and Premananda Khuntia are posted as new additional secretary of handloom, textiles & handicrafts; health & family welfare and commerce & transport departments respectively. Further, Mishra will also hold the additional charge of commissioner of food safety.
Tribikram Pradhan, a 2006 batch IAS officer, is the new registrar cooperative societies whereas Rasid Khan, Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra and Biswanath Acharya, who are recently promoted to IAS cadre, have been appointed as joint secretary to science & technology department, CM and steel & mines department respectively.
The government has posted Ravindra Pratap Singh as the new director agriculture marketing and secretary of Orissa State Agricultural Marketing Board while Bijya Kumar Nayak is new culture director.
M Muthukumar, a 2008 batch IAS officer, has been transferred as director of agriculture and food production and also director horticulture (additional charge).
Besides, Prafulla Kumar Rout was posted as director, small savings while director municipal administration Sangramjit Nayak has been given additional charge of mission director Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban).
