BHUBANESWAR: ABP News and world of CSR organised Bhubaneswar Healthcare Leadership Award 2019, at a city hotel here recently. Akshya Kumar Rout, famed plastic and cosmetic surgeon of the state, received the award for his contribution in the field of plastic and cosmetic surgery. He is the founding director of Orissa cosmetic surgery clinic, situated at Bhubaneswar forest park.
He has already worked with various reputed hospital like Shri Gangaram, Delhi, PGIMER, Chandigarh. He did his specialisation in cosmetic surgery fellowship at USA, with Mercy group of Hospitals. In the year 2008, he established Odisha cosmetic surgery clinic (OCSC) when there was no such facilities of plastic and cosmetic surgery in Odisha and people use to go to metro cities for various expensive surgeries.
He had also visited various countries for critical plastic surgery cases. For his expertise, he has received many awards and recognition .Interacting with Orissa Post, Rout said, “This recognition would definitely make me more responsible as a surgeon. In today’s world, cosmetic surgery does come as a handy tool for many. However, one must consult with renowned cosmetologists and surgeons before going for surgery.”
Sunil Kumar Rout of Kalinga Hospital said, “Surgeons like Rout who offer ground-breaking cosmotology deserves this recognition for his hard work in the field of cosmetic surgery. It may be noted that Rout is also known as a social activist.”
