Like in the Hindi film industry, where many actresses have morphed into producers, in the Oriya movie industry too the trend seems to be catching up. Chinmayee Priyadarshini, who has acted in a few Oriya films including Sapanara Nayika, has produced the upcoming film To Premare Padila Pare. While she is playing the leading lady opposite Devraj, the film also casts Asit Pati, Jiban Panda, Puspa Panda, Pralipta, Susmita, Puja, Pragnya, Anjana Mishra, Kuni Panda, and Biren Mitra, Manisha Mishra, Ashis Sendre and Hemant. Music of the film was released August 22 in Bhubaneswar. Orissa POST talks to the cast and crew of the film.
“It is a romantic suspense thriller where the hero dons four looks. Youngsters are the target audience of the film,” said director Saroj Kant who had earlier directed Premara Nisha Niara Niara.
“The film has a title track, two songs to introduce the hero and heroine separately, a Sufiana romantic number and an item song. Like the lyrical title of the film, its backbone is its music,” said music director Baidyanath Dash.
“After acting in a few films I am producing as well as acting in the lead role in this film. The film has all elements of entertainment like action, comedy and drama, and so I hope the audience will like it,” said Chinmayee.
Made under the banner Debaki Films, the story of To ‘Premare Padila Pare’ has been written by Prasanna Patsani while the screenplay and dialogues have been penned by Rajani Ranjan. Tapu Mishra, Asima Panda, Sanju, Humane, Satya have lent voice to the lyrics penned by Prasanna Patsani, Nirmal Nayak, Arun Mantri, Asutosh and Jayant.
