Bhubaneswar, May 29: Elima Minz scored a hat-trick to help Hockey Orissa thrash Delhi Hockey 4-0 in a Pool-D match of the Vth Hockey India Sub-Junior Women’s National (Division-A) Hockey Championship at Ranchi, Jharkhand, Friday. With this victory, Hockey Orissa entered the semifinals of the tournament and will meet Hockey Punjab for a place in the final.
Elima broke the deadlock after 25 minutes as Orissa led 1-0 at the breather. After the change of ends, Hockey Orissa adopted an aggressive approach and scored three more goals. Elima struck in the 43rd and 44th minutes to complete her hat-trick. Ashim Kanchan scored in the 60th minute to finish the rout.
Meanwhile Hockey Gangpur bowed out of the tournament after losing 0-2 to Hockey Haryana in a Pool-C match. Jyoti (sixth) and Dimple (53rd) scored for Haryana.
Police sports
Deogarh, Koraput, Cuttack, Rayagada, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Boudh and Jharsuguda won their respective matches in kabaddi, while Dhenkanal, Bolangir and Keonjhar won their respective matches in the handball events of the 72nd State Level Police Sports Championship at the Reserve Police Ground in Sambalpur, Friday.

OAA AGM
A budget of `9, 40,000 was sought for the 2015-16 session in the annual general meeting (AGM) of Orissa Archery Association (OAA) at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Friday. It was also been decided that State Senior Archery Meet will be conducted at Joda in August, the Prize Mini Archery Competition will be held at Sunabedha while State Women’s Archery Meet will be played at Tangi. The OAA website was also launched by president Ajit Kumar Tripathy and secretary Sradhananda Das.
TT Camp
A free table tennis coaching camp organised by Rajdhani Table Tennis Association (RTTA) was inaugurated here Friday. “We will try to spot talents and teach the finer nuances of the game to the players in the camp,” stated RTTA through a press release Friday.
