Rameswaram (TN), Feb 6: The administrators of the House of Kalam, an international trust, have cautioned the public against some unscrupulous elements collecting money in its name from them and Self-Help groups by promising jobs and benefits from the Tamil Nadu government welfare schemes.
In a release here, the administrators of the trust said, “It has been brought to our notice that for the past few days some persons have collected money from the public and SHGs promising to get benefits from the government scheme and jobs.”
An individual has appointed persons to collect money from the people and SHGs, it said adding there is no link between the individual and the ‘House of Kalam’ trust.
Hence, we request the people not to fall prey to such frauds, the release said.
The trust was formed after the death of former President APJ Abdul Kalam to run his memorial and spread his message. (PTI)
