Morada: In a shocking incident a man hacked his wife to death at Nalagaja village under Rasagobindapur police limits in Mayurbhanj district Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Parbati Tudu and the accused Jitu Tudu, both residents of the same village. Locals informed that both Jitu and his wife were not on good terms for the past few months. The two had a heated argument Tuesday.
In the heat of the moment, Jitu grabbed a knife and repeatedly stabbed Parbati leading to the latter’s death on the spot. After committing the crime, Jitu tried to flee from the village, but villagers managed to catch him tied him to a tree, and informed the police. Cops arrived at the village and arrested Jitu before sending the body for postmortem. A case has been registered in this regard, police said.
