Swansea: Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic asserted here Sunday that Manchester United will turn around their disappointing season after scoring in his side’s 3-1 victory over Swansea City.
“You know what? After 15 years on a professional level, I’ve scored a lot of goals and I’ll keep scoring. I know how it works. As long as you still create your chances, you are still in the zone, the goals will come so I’m not worried about that,” said the Swede who broke a 10-match goal drought.
“I want to score that is no secret, because that is how I help my team. I want to create chances for my teammates, I want to help them score. So as long as I do that, I’m not worried,” added Ibrahimovic while talking to ‘MUTV’.
The 35-year-old former hitman netted twice to take his United tally to eight goals, also scoring in the process his 400th career goal and the EPL’s 25,000th goal.
Ibrahimovic said the record of 400 club goals is not something he is thinking about. It’s a nice record but it’s not something I think about now,” he asserted. “I just stay focused and try to score as much as possible. I have as many goals that some players don’t have games, so I’m happy.”
