Hague: Four days after the Jaish-e-Mohammad attack on CRPF jawans in Pulwama, India and Pakistan will again come face-to-face in the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav.
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) Monday will hear Kulbhushan Jadhav case at The Hague. This hearing will last for four days.
Indian lawyer Harish Salve Monday and Pakistani lawyer Khawar Qureshi will present arguments Tuesday.
After this, India will reply February 20, while Islamabad will present its last arguments February 21.
The verdict in this case is expected this year.
Worth mentioning, Pak soldiers captured Kulbhushan Jadhav from the Balochistan province in March 2016. He was accused of espionage in Afghanistan and the military court had pronounced death sentence April 10, 2017.
To prevent this, India had knocked the ICJ door. After this, the court May 18, 2017 had restrained Pakistan from executing Jadhav.
India has already said that Kulbhushan Jadhav is not a detective. Rather, the Pak soldiers had kidnapped him from the Afghanistan border. India has appealed to the court that Pakistan should be ordered to repeal the sentence of Jadhav.
India has alleged that Pakistan violated the Vienna Treaty and not provided Counselor access to Kulbhushan and also violated human rights.
However, Pakistan facilitated a meeting of Jadhav with his mother and wife in Islamabad December 25, 2017. Where Jadhav was seen sitting behind a glass screen while his mother and wife sat on the other side. They spoke through intercom.
