Bhubaneswar: The ICSI-Bhubaneswar Chapter Saturday said the Union Budget 2018 will help boost manufacturing sector in the country.
While talking at a discussion organised by the ICSI-Bhubaneswar chapter, CS SN Mallick, chairman of the chapter, said the budget has focused on facilitating MSMEs, empowering youth, developing infrastructure, reforming agricultural and rural sectors.
The budget will also help uplift the agricultural sector, he said, adding that it will give a major push to healthcare and education sectors.
He also appreciated the initiatives in the budget such as welfare schemes, health insurance, increase in MSP, etc.
The budget will also boost the manufacturing sector and investments, he pointed out.
CA Arun Kumar Sabat, partner, AK Sabat & Co, Chartered Accountant & CMA & CS Niranjan Swain have also talked about various aspects of the budget. CS BC Debata, vice chairman, and CS RK Kar, secretary and treasurer of the chapter, were also present, an official release said. (PNN)
