BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha chapter of Indian Engineering Teachers’ Association (IETA) was inaugurated at Gandhi Institute for Technology (GIFT) here Monday.
Indian engineering Teachers’ Association is a non-profitable organisation registered under Govt. of West Bengal. The main objective of the organisation is to bridge the gap between academics and industry.
It aims at providing a platform to engineering and management students to learn about the demands of the industry, which constantly changes according to global scenario. It will help in all-round development which will be helpful for the students.
It facilitates to conduct FDPs on Emerging Technology on regular basis and it also conducts B.Tech and MCA projects. Sachi Nandan Mohanty, Professor, Department of CSE, was elected as the chairperson of the IETA Odisha Chapter.
Other dignitaries who graced the occasion are Principal Dr S Krishna Mohan Rao, Vice Principal Alok Kumar Mohapatra and Dean Academics, Pravat Kumar Subudhi , Prof Tanupriya Choudhury from UPES, Dehradun and Prof Sayantan Chakroborty from Kolkata.
Faculty members from different colleges associated with the organisation were felicitated by the newly inaugurated Odisha Chapter of IETA. The program was attended by faculty members of engineering and management colleges.
