Dhenkanal: The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Dhenkanal, in collaboration with the Divisional Forest Office (DFO), Dhenkanal, organised a nature walk Sunday at the Kapilash and Saptsajjya forest ranges.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about forest conservation, wildlife protection, and the importance of biodiversity, while also promoting an ongoing photography competition jointly conducted by IIMC and the DFO.
The submission deadline for the photography competition is September 25.

Students from the Post Graduate Diploma programs in English Journalism, Odia Journalism, and Corporate Communication and Business Management (CCBM) participated in the walk.
The Saptsajya trail was led by Divisional Forest Officer Sumit Kar and Assistant Professor BN Seth, while the Kapilash trail was guided by Prof Anand Pradhan, regional director of IIMC Dhenkanal, and Asit Chakraborty of the Forest department.
