BHUBANESWAR: DDM IT Wiz, organised by MindFire Solutions, a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions, witnessed participation from students from various colleges in Bhubaneshwar. G Pranav Hari and Rahul Humayun from IIT Madras, Chennai won the title in the finals at a city hotel Sunday.
Over 400 students participated in the quiz. The Bhubaneswar edition also witnessed college teams travelling from Delhi and Chennai for this years’ quiz.
The Quiz has saw an overwhelming response from the participants this year, with more than 500 entries from pan India Master and Bachelor degree students studying in Management or Technical Institutes. Noted international quiz master Lloyd Saldanha hosted the quiz programme.
The platform looked into the technological trends that are poised to have huge traction across the globe. Students who are a part of this quiz would benefit from understanding these technologies as they walk into their future. The final saw a very tough fight amongst the participants, where they went through six different rounds before announcement of the winner.
At the finals, G Pranav Hari and Rahul Humayun from IIT Madras, Chennai won the title. The Bhubaneswar Edition Champions this year walked away with a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000 while the runners-up represented by Abhisek Patra and Prathamesh Dash from NIT Rourkela were rewarded with cash prize of Rs 50,000. The second runners-up represented by Vivek Prasad and Sayed Munib Ahamad were from NIT Rourkela as well and took home Rs 30,000 worth cash prize along with a specially designed trophy and medals.
Speaking on the occasion, Chinmay Panda, CEO, Mindfire Solution said, “We are overwhelmed with the response we have received from the participants this year. An event that started in memory of our colleague late Debasish Das, has now become very popular in IT quiz circle. Debasish had dream of organising an annual mega quiz contest, and DDMIT is our tribute to his dream.”
