Nayagarh: Police Friday night busted an illegal gun manufacturing unit at Gopinathpur under Sadar police limits in Nayagarh district. A person of the same village has been arrested in this connection.
Sources said, police had information that Sudhir Kumar Behera was engaged in illegal rifle manufacturing and selling. Friday night, a team conducted a raid in the village and arrested Sudhir.
Four single barrel, one pistol, bullets, explosive and other materials were also seized from the spot. We have registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain who are Sudhir’s other accomplices and clients,” informed superintendent of police (SP) Sashi Bhushan Satpathy Saturday.
