New Delhi: Sanju Samson top-scored with a 22-ball 57 as India beat Afghanistan by seven wickets to win the second T20 International and take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Chasing 160, India knocked off the target, making 163 for 3, to win by 31 balls to spare.
Abhishek Sharma cracked four sixes and two fours to make 39 off 19 balls in India’s chase, while Ishan Kishan scored an unbeaten 38 not out off 23 balls with three fours and two sixes.
Earlier, Nitish Kumar Reddy (3/24) and Arshdeep Singh (2/35) impressed with the ball as Afghanistan posted 159 for eight.
