Marshaghai: The Marsaghai police have arrested two men for the alleged gangrape of a 22-year-old intellectually disabled woman in Odisha’s Kendrapada district.
The accused have been identified as Dhaneshwar Nath (27), alias Dhana, of Sanagaon village, and Subrat Behera (40) of Jadupur village.
Following their arrest, both suspects were produced before a local court Sunday, confirmed Marsaghai police station Inspector-in-Charge Tapan Nayak.
According to police sources, the incident occurred Friday afternoon when the survivor was walking toward her sister’s house.
The two accused, riding a motorcycle, intercepted her and offered to drop her off at her destination.

The survivor later managed to reach the Ostar market, where local residents noticed her in distress and alerted her family.
Upon returning home, she narrated the ordeal to her relatives, who subsequently lodged a formal complaint at the Marsaghai police station Saturday.
