Bhubaneswar, Oct 20: A day after senior Orissa cadre IAS officer Taradatt refuted the charges of extra-marital affairs, his wife Indulata Das Tuesday said the statement of her husband thoroughly contradicts his real modus operandi.
Rejecting Taradatt’s clarification that he did no wrong and that he has no extra-marital affairs, his spouse Das claimed her husband has made 3173 calls and SMSes in 162 days to a landline.
She also questioned the morality of the IAS officer and said, “I wondered what type of relationship my husband maintains with the woman, which forced him to talk to her late into the wee hours every day without my knowledge,” she said in a press statement.
The senior bureaucrat Monday countered the allegations of extramarital affairs with a lady officer made by his wife.
Taradatt said, “I have unfailingly maintained the integrity of my married life and did not enter into any extra-marital affair. I have conveyed in writing my readiness to face any test to prove my innocence.”
Notably, Indulata had levelled charges of moral turpitude against her husband at State Commission for Women (SCW) July 14 this year. Prior to this, she had filed a case against her husband with the SCW suspecting his marital integrity.
The SCW Monday served a notice on the lady officer in connection with the charges and asked her to dispose before the commission October 30 at 11am.
