Rayagada: The Vigilance officials Wednesday conducted raids at five properties of Gagan Bihari Pati, Junior Engineer of ITDA, Gunupur in Rayagada district, on allegations of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The anti-corruption sleuths conducted simultaneous raids at Pati’s building at Siddharth Nagar in Berhampur, his paternal house at cooperative colony in Berhampur, father-in-law’s house at Routpeta Street in Berhampur, residential quarters at Khan Sahi in Muniguda and office room at ITDA office in Gunupur.
The Vigilance officials seized Rs 30 lakh cash stacked inside a washing machine and several gold ornaments, reports said.
Some documents related to his assets have also been seized.
