Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Thursday appointed Prof. Jagannath Lenka as the full time member of Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).
He will replace Bikash Chandra Mohapatra, a retired IAS officer, who has completed his tenure.
Notably, The OSSC Commission is headed by a Chairman and comprises of one full time member. Both of them get their appointment by the Government of Odisha. The current Chairman of OSSC is Nirmal Chandra Mishra.
Lenka was serving as a Head of Department (HOD) of North Odisha University at Sriram Chandra Vihar, Takatpur in Baripada.
Lenka has more than 30 years of experience in teaching and more than 24 years of experience in research.
Born 13 February, 1969 Lenka has completed his Post Graduation and Ph.D in Economics.
