Bhubaneswar: Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh is being celebrated across the country from November 1 to 15 to honour the rich tribal heritage, culture, and invaluable contributions of tribal communities to nation-building.
In line with the nationwide celebration, the Odisha State Tribal Museum, under the aegis of the department of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes Development, Minorities and Backwards Classes Welfare and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Research and Training Institute (SCSTRTI), is observing the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda with a series of special programmes and exhibitions.
On this occasion, a dedicated Birsa Munda Pavilion has been set up at the museum.
The celebration also features a painting exhibition depicting the life and struggles of Birsa Munda, a photo exhibition showcasing the life and culture of various tribal communities of Odisha, and live demonstrations of traditional textile weaving by members of the Kulis tribe.

Additionally, Juang tribal artists are exhibiting their traditional paintings.
As part of the outreach activities, special guided tours of the Odisha State Tribal Museum have been arranged for school and college students.
