Rayagada: JK Paper Mills at Jaykaypur in this district won the National Safety Award from the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment at a function held in New Delhi Tuesday.
Attending the function, PK Suri, executive vice-president (works), JK Paper Mills, Jaykaypur, received the award on behalf of the paper mill from Union Minister for Labour and Employment Santosh Gangwar at a glittering function held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi Tuesday.
LM Rao, deputy general manager (safety) was also present on the occasion.
The ceremony was organised by the Director General Factories Advice Services and Labour Institute (DGFASLI). The award was given in recognition of the paper mill’s safety performance (accident free) for the year 2017.
