Kataka: The historic Bali Jatra in Kataka will be held from November 24 to December 1 this year, Kataka Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde said Wednesday.
The district administration has proposed that the annual fair be organised on both the upper and lower grounds of the Bali Jatra field.
The proposal, however, is awaiting approval from the state government.
The administration also plans to expand parking facilities.
Artists from outside Odisha will be invited to entertain visitors during the fair.
Besides, water sports activities will be organised in the Mahanadi river as part of this year’s Bali Jatra festivities, the Collector said.
