Kataka: Government initiated action against officials following laboratory tests found that chhena and paneer supplied from the Niali area of Kataka district were adulterated.
Taking the matter seriously, the state food safety commissioner, as an initial step, transferred Kataka district food safety officer Amita Das to the Rairangpur subdivision of Mayurbhanj district. Das has been posted as the food safety officer of the Rairangpur subdivision.
Rairangpur Subdivisional Food Safety Officer Soumyakanta Naik has been transferred to Kataka district as its food safety officer.
The Commissioner has directed both officers to join their new places of posting immediately, on or before September 28.
