Kendujhar: All government and private schools as well as Anganwadi centres in Odisha’s Kendujhar district will remain closed Monday as heavy rainfall continues and flood concerns persist, the district administration said Sunday.
The closure was ordered by the Kendujhar Collector.
The administration also postponed the public grievance hearing scheduled at Joda block. Officials said a fresh date for the hearing will be announced later.
The move comes as the state braces for continued rainfall over the next three days. The India Meteorological Department has issued red warnings for four districts, while several others remain under orange warnings.
