Kashipur, Feb 10: In a shocking incident, an Anganwadi worker in Baliguda village of Kashipur block under Rayagada district allegedly forced an eight-year-old boy to drink her urine in order to punish him Monday.
The incident came to light after the student’s father lodged a complaint regarding the incident with Kashipur police.
Four children Narendra Nayak, Dipu Nayak, Chandan Nayak and Ankit Nayak, while playing at a place in the village, found a beer bottle. They found a little amount of beer left in the bottle and drank it.
One of these children lied to Ankit’s mother Pratima Sethi, who is an Anganwadi worker, that Narendra had made him to drink his urine.
Enraged, Pratima first beat Narendra and then took him to her house. She forced him to drink her urine in order to punish him. After Narendra told his family about the incident, his father lodged a complaint with police. Based on the complaint, police registered a case and started a probe into the incident.
Pratima, on the other hand, stated that she had beaten Narendra. But, she refuted the allegation that she had forced him to drink her urine.
She filed a counter FIR accusing Narendra’s relative Naveen Nayak of assaulting her mother-in-law.
