KKR vs SH: Sunrisers put 181/3 on board after Warner fireworks

Warner hit 85 off 53 balls which included nine boundaries and three sixes.

Kolkata:  Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) openers David Warner ( 85, 53b, 4×9, 6×3) and Jonny Bairstow ( 39, 35b, 4×3, 6×1) gave their team a rousing start after being put into bat by Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Dinesh Karthik at the Eden Gardens in their IPL-XII encounter here, Sunday.

Vinay Shankar added 40 off 24 balls and remained unbeaten on the crease.

SRH at the end of 20 overs were 181/3.

Warner and Bairstow put up an opening partnership of 118 before the latter was bowled by Knight Riders spinner Piyush Chawla. Warner fell to West Indian pacer Andre Russell after getting caught by Robin Uthappa at cover.
