Bhubaneswar, March 15: VSP, Kolkata and South Eastern Railway Sports Association (SERSA), Kharagpur won their respective matches in the Hrudananda Memorial cricket tournament which started at Nehru Stadium in Bhadrak, Sunday.
In the first match, SERSA beat You & Me, Balasore by four wickets. You & Me, opting to bat first, scored 121 for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 20 overs with Jasobanta Behera (28) batting well. Tirthankara Bhandari with four wickets bowled well for SERSA
In reply, Sersa cruised home in 18 overs, losing six wickets only. Man of the match Vikrant Singh (42) batted well
In the second match, VSP Kolkata defeated Shiba Shakti Foundation (SSF), Andhra Pradesh by six wickets. SSF opted to bat first and scored 152 for the loss of three wickets with K Satish (55) scoring a half century. Rakesh Pattnaik took three wickets for VSP.
VSP chased down the target in 19.1 overs, losing only four wickets. Man of the match Suraj Singh (36) batted well to lead the run chase.
