Balikuda: A lecturer of Balikuda College in Jagatsinghpur district has been dismissed from service after he was found guilty of securing the job with a fake certificate.
Acting on the direction of the sub-collector, the college principal removed lecturer Santosh Satapathy from his post. Satapathy was appointed to the Commerce department of Balikuda College in 2019 through a governing body nomination.
However, a complaint was later lodged at the chief minister’s grievance hearing, alleging that he had used a forged certificate to obtain the post. Following this, his educational documents were verified and found to be forged.

The sub-collector wrote to the college principal, directing Satapathy’s dismissal Monday. The letter stated that the certificates he had submitted did not match those issued by Utkal University.
It further noted that Satapathy had presented a forged certificate from Sikkim University, purportedly obtained in 2014.
