Bhubaneswar, August 12: Ramanjit Kaur, an International Award winning theatre and film artiste as well as a director was here in city in order to teach young kids and women theater exercises. The workshop was conducted Saturday here at the Happy Hour School with an aim to create self development among participants through theater exercises. During the morning session, youth starting from ages 11 to 21 took part in various activities. For instance, they all participated in an act that invites two participants each time to perform two different characters which they switch the nest time during the course of the play. “I was very nervous when I reached here to partake in the workshop. However, after a while all these activities helped me to open up leaving behind all my
fears” said one participant. The afternoon session witnessed 15 women who belonged to different professions participating in the workshop to explore their inner self through theater exercises. Talking to Orissa Post, Ramanjit said, “In this two-day workshop, they are learning theater skills and life skills. The life skill activities will help the participants in finding an inner meaning and helps alerting their minds.” “These activities would help them in exploring happiness, in their own life. This apart, acting exercise and interactive games with others are fun elements that boost their morale”she added. Ramanjit believes in ‘living each moment to the fullest’.
