Mathili: Locals of Daiguda village under this block in Malkangiri district had to clear a road blockade caused by tree fall due to the Nor’wester rain after a fire force team called to lift the road blockade walked away after clicking selfies without doing the job they were called for.
According to sources, tree branches fallen during the Nor’wester rain caused severe road blockade in the village.
After repeated complaints, a fire tender team reached the village to clear the road blockade. Interestingly, the fire personnel clicked selfies and walked away without even picking a twig.
Left with no option, the villagers cleared the road blockade all by themselves. The incident spread outrage as the locals condemned the negligent and insensitive attitude of the fire brigade team.
