Jagatsinghpur: A young couple ended their life by hanging themselves from a neem tree. The matter came to the fore after locals spotted the hanging bodies of the 20 years old youth and the 19 years old girl Tuesday morning.
The incident was reported from Padampur panchayat under Erasama police limits in Jagatsinghpur district.
It is suspected that they were in a relationship and their families stood in the way of their plan for marriage. The two had gone missing from their homes since Monday evening. Later, their bodies were found hanging from a neem tree near the village.
On being informed, the police sent the bodies for post-mortem and started an investigation. Prima facie, no foul play is suspected.
