Mumbai:  We are pretty sure Madhuri Dixit fans are a happy bunch this Wednesday with she celebrating her birthday. We join you all in wishing her on her big day.

On this special occasion, we would like to bring you some unknown facts about Madhuri. Her debut film Abodh was a flop, but Madhuri’s film ‘Tezaab’ took her to another height of popularity.

There was a time when the relationship of Madhuri and Sanjay Dutt was at peak. The career of both of them was also touching fresh peaks with each passing year. At that time, Madhuri had to face humiliation to maintain her success.

Madhuri’s Stardom was at its peak and almost every movie that was being released was a box office blockbuster.  While every producer-director banked on or at least wanted to build up on Madhuri’s popularity, the movie-makers she worked with feared her growing closeness with Sanjay Dutt. They thought Madhuri might marry or get pregnant.

By the time Sanjay was married and his wife was staying abroad. So Sanjay and Madhuri spent most of their time together. Within no time their affair was common in movie industry.

According to a renowned newspaper, Madhuri Dixit had to sign a ‘no pregnancy’ clause despite being a virgin.

Their closeness affected director Subhash Ghai because he was working with Madhuri in the movie ‘Khalnayak’. Ghai felt that if Madhuri gets married or got pregnant his movie will come to a halt. Considering the risks, Subhash Ghai asked Madhuri to sign a ‘no pregnancy’ clause which was a first of its kind condition in Hindi movie industry.

According to the clause, if Madhuri turned pregnant during the shoot, she would have to pay a hefty penalty.

It is also said that Subhash Ghai was the first director to sign this kind of contract with any heroine.
