Thane: Police have registered a case against a married woman here in this town. The allegations against her, is that she has kidnapped a 17-year-old boy. The woman was allegedly having an affair with the boy, an official said Monday. Efforts were on to trace the boy and the woman, the official from Narpoli police station informed.
The 30-year-old woman lived with her husband in a slum colony in Bhiwandi town here. The boy, whom the woman knew for more than eight years, resided in their neighbourhood, the police official said. The boy left his house for some work Friday evening, but did not return.
The boy’s parents searched for him and also checked with the woman’s family members. They informed the parents that the woman was also missing since Friday, the official said.
The boy’s parents later complained to the police that the woman was having an affair with their son. They said she had allegedly kidnapped him and taken him to an unknown destination, the police official informed.
The Narpoli police Sunday registered a case against the woman under Indian Penal Code Section 363 (kidnapping), the official stated. Efforts were on to trace the boy and the woman, he added.
