Bhadrak: An inebriated youth went missing Thursday in the Salandi River in Bhadrak while making reels, locals said.
The incident occurred near the Santhia bridge under Puruna Bazar police limits. Two youths, identified as Himanshu Shekhar Nayak and Mithun Nayak, jumped off the bridge into the river to shoot a reel. Another friend was filming the video, locals added.
Himanshu jumped first into the river, followed shortly by Mithun. While Himanshu managed to swim back to the riverbank, Mithun went missing.

Locals promptly informed the police, following which rescue teams launched a search operation. Despite continuous efforts, Mithun remained untraceable at the time of reporting.
It can be mentioned here that the three youths are from Keonjhar district and were working in Bhadrak as daily labourers. As they did not find work that day, they went to the river, locals added.
