Angul: The Angul police Wednesday arrested a man for allegedly killing his 13-day-old daughter by throwing her into the well.
The police came to know about the incident while interrogating Dushasan Sahu, father of the 13-day-old a day after the body was recovered from a nearby well. Accoring to police sources the baby girl went missing from July 6 and it was suspected that the infant might have been dragged and mauled by a stray dog.
Sahu confessed to his crime and told police that he had thrown the infant into the well near his house leading to the death. Police said Sahu took step after his wife gave birth to a baby girl for the second time. His first child was also a daughter and he wanted a son.
