Rourkela: In a shocking incident, police here Thursday evening arrested a man for sexually abusing his 13-year-old daughter for years. The arrest was made after the minor girl with the help of her uncle and elder sister filed a police complaint against her father at Sector 15 police station here. Sources said the accused is an employee with a PSU in Rourkela.
Police said the accused lost his wife a few years back. He has two daughters. While the elder one was studying outside, the younger girl was staying with her father at his quarters. The girl has alleged that she was being molested by her father regularly. She narrated her ordeal to her elder sister who in turn disclosed this to their uncle. “We have booked the man under 75/115 (2) of BNS and Section 8 of POCSO Act. He has been forwarded to court Friday,” Sector 15 PS IIC Srikanta Khamari said.
