According to sources, Gajendra Muduli, of Nagpur village under Gop police limits in Puri was admitted to the hospital after he fell ill around 11pm Sunday.

The family members alleged that Gajendra was not attended to at the hospital as not a single doctor was available at that time.

Later, a pharmacist present at the hospital, declared Gajendra dead, following which the family members of the deceased created a ruckus at the healthcare facility alleging negligence.

On being informed, former Pipli MLA Yudhistir Samantray reached the hospital and pacified the deceased’s family members.

Later, the situation was normalised after CDPO Bhaskar Chandra Samantray intervened and placated the aggrieved protestors.
