Aska: A man was killed and his son critically injured after the motorcycle they were travelling rammed into a roadside hume pipe at a place between Kalasandhapur and Patuliguda on National Highway-59 in Ganjam district Friday.
The deceased was identified as Badal Patra and the injured as Saikrishna Patra of Golapali Sahi near Gate Bazaar in Berhampur.
Badal along with his son, were coming from Berhampur to Aska. While they were crossing the stretch between Kalasandhapur and Patuliguda, Badal lost control on the bike and rammed into the hume pipe, dumped on the roadside for Janibili-Berhampur water supply project.
They were rushed to Aska sub divisional hospital. While the doctors declared Badal brought dead, Saikrishna has been shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.
