Dharmasala: A person died and two others were injured after a 12-wheeler truck rammed into a stationary truck near Rathia square on National Highway 16 under in Jajpur district in the wee hours of Friday.
The deceased was identified as Bijay Kumar Swain (35), a nearby dhaba employee and the injured was the driver and helper of the vehicle.
On being informed, fire personnel and police reached the spot. The injured duo was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital after primary treatment at Badachana health centre and the body was sent for autopsy.
Sources said, the truck was on its way from Kolkata to Andhra loaded with empty cold drink bottles ran over Bijay after colliding against the stationary truck near the Rathia square.
