Bheden: Police Sunday night recovered a body lying in a pool of blood beside Mangulu Pradhan’s statue at Ramanda village near Bheden in Bargarh district.
The deceased was identified as Sahadev Kar (45).
Some villagers noticed the body lying beside the central statue following which they sounded the alarm and took to the police.
Following which the police reached the spot and took the body to Bheden government hospital where the doctors declared Sahadev Kar received dead.
The body was sent to Bargarh district hospital for post-mortem.
The deceased’s son raised suspicion that someone might have killed his father with an iron rod over past enmity.
