Puri: First additional sessions judge NR Dora has sentenced Ekadasi Dey of Goudasahi village under Brahmagiri police station limits in Puri district to ten-year rigorous imprisonment and Rs one lakh fine for selling cannabis.
Brahmagiri police had arrested Ekadasi from Siruli Mahavir temple area in May 2017 and recovered 25 kg of Ganja from his possession packed in two bags.
Police registered a case under the NDPS Act and charge-sheeted the accused to face trial in a sessions court.
The court announced the judgment Friday.
