Maoist camp busted in Rayagada

Kalyansinghpur: A Maoist camp was busted during a combing operation carried out in the forests near Tulua and Patalamba villages under Kalyansinghpur block in Rayagada district Wednesday.

Various articles used by the ultras such as detonators, wires, lighters, cutters, Maoist literature and  pamphlets, clothes, medicines and identity cards were recovered. CRPF of Rayagada and Kalyansinghpur, a dog squad and bomb defusing squad took part in the operation.

Assistant commandant of CRPF, Rayagada, Nitu Ray said, “Probably the Maoists had plans to carry out explosions in the area”.
